If you caught my post earlier today about my little haul, you’ll see that I’ve bought the 107 shade that Kate Moss is wearing in the advert and I was planning to do a later post featuring a review of the item and a tutorial of the look.
What you’ll need:
- Rimmel Lasting Finish By Kate Moss Lipstick in 107.
- Rimmel Glam Eyes Professional Liquid Liner in Black.
- Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipliner in 004 Indian Pink.
- M.A.C Kohl Eyeliner in Smolder.
- Illamasqua Neutral Palette Eye Colour in Vintage.
I applied the Illamasqua colour liberally up to the crease of my eyesocket to make the dark, dramatic line, then smudged outward to just below my brow bone, as is shown on the above picture of Kate. Then, lined my waterline with the M.A.C kohl liner to create definition, finishing with a slick of the liquid eyeliner on my lash line and a quick line of the Vintage colour under my bottom lashes.
Quick Review: I would not recommend purchasing the liquid eyeliner if you’re planning on putting it on top of eye makeup as it didn’t stick very well and came off as grey unless I put several coats on. This then got messy and started tracing on my eyelid. I’m not particularly fond of this product. One thing I must say is I am a fan of the applicator itself – it’s really thin and creates brilliant precision with the lines, just unfortunate that the thin consistency lets the lines down!
For the lips, I firstly covered the outline with the pencil (something I’ve never actually done before, I’m quite fond of lip pencils already!) – then filled in the colour with the lipstick, being sure to blend sufficiently as I went along so I didn’t get any of that tragic visible lipliner/lipstick fallout.
Quick Review: the lipstick is quite lovely, given its cheap price – with a really nice smell that hits you the second you start applying. I’m not sure what the smell is but it’s familiar and I once had Kate Moss perfume? It goes on nicely and is well pigmented. I would recommend this product, especially given the current offer.
