Dahlia ‘New-In’ Clothes Crush.

September 4, 2012

I have been fashion-perving on Dahlia’s beautiful clothes for a couple of  years now and, sadly, still cannot afford to purchase anything. Their gorgeously girly, yet still tailored and very Alexa Chung lines have attracted the attention of many a celebrity stylist – with the likes of ever on-trend Caroline Flack being papped in their clothes. Their New In collection does not disappoint, especially given the A/W styles coming in (my favourite time of the fashion calendar) and leather, baroque-styling and floaty blouses taking over floral dresses and sandals, finally.

  • Daphne – Multi-coloured Brocade Pleated Dress £68 (or cheaper with 10% code!)
There is unfortunately no doubt about it – my life is incomplete without this dress. I keep seeing it pop up everywhere through my social media sites – Dahlia stop posting links to it, you temptresses! It is absolutely adorable and, if I was American (and still in school!), I would be jazzing this up in such a Blair Waldorf fashion, headband, satchel – uh oh, I’m dribbling on my keyboard again. Anyway yes, if anyone is feeling particularly generous and would like to make my otherwise dreary Tuesday, don’t hesitate to pop this in the post to me and I will sell you the last third of my soul.
  • Alicia – Black Leather Look Skater Skirt with Laser Cut Detail £55
This post is proving torturous to write – my debit card is calling me – how divine is that outfit? Hmm, just inserted the picture and looked at it properly – why can’t designers make blouses with thicker material? I don’t understand this “Let’s show off the bra” alleged sexiness – it just looks messy. Anyway, this leather look skirt is perfect for the coming Autumn months and will go with practically anything in its neutral black colour (although, they do have a rather fetching version in Burgundy…). Were I rich and fabulous (there’s time yet), I would be teaming mine with a checked shirt and some Creepers or Jeffrey Campbell’s Black Suede Litas. Oh, and a deep purple blazer maybe.
  • Angela Burgundy Button Back Studded Collar Blouse £50
Why must you be see-through? Why? This one could be rectified with a nice lacy black bra to quietly emulate the decoration at the bottom of the skirt – but I’d still prefer it to be a little thicker, it looks more expensive and well-put-together that way. The blouse looks floaty and dainty with the skirt but, if you’re looking to inject a bit of fierce into your outfit – you could opt for leather shorts instead. That model is making me want to cut my full fringe back in, help!
  • Maisy Navy PinADORE Dress with Bow Detail £65
Does this even need a description? I would be teaming this with an ivory blouse, a black satchel and red patent heels. I would be teaming it so hard. This post needs to come to an end rather quickly, I think – before I blow all my money…
Do you have anything from Dahlia? Or are you just drooling like me?
Leave me your thoughts,
Ebony xo
