I’ve strayed away from doing a post like this for a long time – mainly because I only have my iPhone to take pictures on – and a bunch of dirty mirrors. Oh, and I have no clue what I’m doing when it comes to Photoshop either, so that’s a lot of stuff I need to work on. However, I thought I’d give it a little go, given that my blog isn’t very personal and it should be a bit moreso really. So here’s a run down of my outfit today, which I have worn solely for a walk into town to buy a bigger rucksack for Green Man/Leeds Festival, which I’ll mention at the end of the post. Enjoy!
“I Read It In Vogue, So It’s Okay To Wear Tartan Again!”
I’ve always loved Tartan and Houndstooth, which you may have gathered by now if you have been reading my posts regularly. I like how bold and distinctive they are – and I like the challenge they create regarding what they’ll actually match with. Today, I received my Tartan Creepers from New Look in the post, so I had to base my outfit around them…
Wow, I’m really not happy with the quality of these pictures – but you get the gist. I teamed the shoes with a Topshop spotty navy dress, Urban Outfitters Tartan plaid satchel, Topshop mini-roller hat and plain black tights. You can’t really see due to the horrendous quality but I also have a teapot necklace on and vintage leopard print cat-eye sunglasses from Pop Boutique on my dress. For my make-up I went for my trademark black eye-flicks and pillar-box red lip. Hair curled with Tresemme styling wand and nails are Illamasqua in ‘Throb’. Old skwl hoover in the background is optional.
Let me know what you think and whether you will be incorporating Tartan into your wardrobe this season!
Finally, I posted the other day about my New Look buys for Green Man/Leeds Festival and I showed you a cute Aztec print bag, which arrived and is absolutely tiny. So now, I’m taking this funky thing:
