Urban Outfitters Sale Haul.

October 18, 2012

I’ve been on an absolute retail therapy spree recently, but at least I’ll be meh and dressed decently. Before this Urban Outfitters haul, there’s another one that I need to post about – where I took major advantage of their 20% off for students offer – which I do believe is still on! However, there is currently a pretty damn good mid-season sale on with many pieces up to 50% off. Here are my picks:

Leeds Haul and the Evils of Travelling.

October 2, 2012

Today I went to Leeds to grab a Nando’s with a friend and pick up my laptop (nearly a month after I left it in @whenflowersfall‘s car boot after London Fashion Week). It’s been a lovely day, I managed to switch my studded iPhone clutch from Urban Outfitters, which I really wouldn’t recommend that you purchase, for the following reasons: when I went to buy the first one in London, the cashier recommended that I picked a different one as the studs looked like they were about to fall off – which I did and secondly, to add salt to it, the one I actually bought shed two studs within 3 days of taking it home – then my boyfriend dropped one of them under the floorboards trying to fix it, bless him. Yeah, steer clear of it anyway – it looks very cool but unless you don’t fancy taking your manicured paws off it for one whole second, I’d leave it on the shelf. Sorry Urbies…

Dahlia’s Autumn/Winter 2012 Lookbook.

October 1, 2012

I am a Dahlia fanatic – we all know this, despite the fact that I’ve never actually had enough spare cash to buy anything from them yet (soon to change and, by soon, I mean in the next hour – love you, student loan). Anyway, they emailed me the other day with some beautiful images of their Autumn/Winter lookbook so I thought I’d write a post about my favourite looks of the season. The company, ran by sisters Tracey and Leigh, never fails to create gorgeous preppy but sophisticated looks – including delights like pinafores and vintage fabrics.

Passion For Fashion – Moneysupermarket.com Competition Entry Part 4.

September 24, 2012

Nearing the end of my entries now – isn’t half taking some time but it’s really fun anyway! The penultimate look that I’m creating is: First Date. Admittedly, it does seem a tad odd to me as it feels like yonks ago since my boyfriend and I had anything of a first date – aww. Anyway, this is what I’d wear if we were going for a meal or somewhere nice and I wanted to remind him of why he fancies the pants off me (hahaha):

Passion For Fashion – Moneysupermarket.com Competition Entry Part 3.

September 24, 2012

If you’re not sure what this post is all about, check out this amazing competition – explained in full in Part 1 of my competition entry. This next look is one that I was really looking forward to creating – Party! I’m kind of renowned for wearing casual clothes and jazzing them up with accessories, so I thought I’d pick an outfit this time that actually is properly worthy of the dance floor – I hope you like it!

Passion For Fashion – Moneysupermarket.com Competition Entry Part 2.

September 24, 2012

If you caught my first Moneysupermarket.com post earlier this week, you’ll know that I’ve entered an amazing competition that you can check out here. I’m still without a laptop (how on Earth did I manage to leave it in Leeds!?) so my posts are a little spaced out, given I’m having to use the university computers as and when I can. Anyway, here is my second look for the competition – Outdoor:

Passion For Fashion – Moneysupermarket.com Competition Entry Part 1.

September 19, 2012

Like most fashion/beauty bloggers, I spend my mornings trawling through Twitter looking for something that catches my eye – be that the latest RT and follow competition, more recently gorgeous Instagram snaps from LFW or big competitions: like this amazing Moneysupermarket.com addition! To enter the competition, you must write a blog post containing 5 hypothetical outfits under £200 for 5 scenarios (party, casual, outdoor, first date and officewear), outlining why you would buy them and also incorporating a bit of Moneysupermarket by looking for ways to get things “on the cheap”. Everyone loves a good deal, right? Now, let me tell you the prizes: 5 winners will win one of their chosen outfits and one lucky blogger will win £1000 to buy all of their chosen outfits – and an iPad 3, just in case you weren’t content with that… Wowzers. So here’s my entry:

DIY Fashion: Vintage Renewal Levi’s Shorts (w/Suspender Straps)

September 18, 2012

Cheeky Model of the Finished Product.

About two months ago, I decided to sniff around on eBay to try and pick up some bargain Levi’s jeans to customise into shorts and sell back off again (or keep them myself if I fell in love) – so I ended up with three pairs of these jeans in their packaging until yesterday morning when I got a bout of inspiration (fuelled by the boredom of currently being laptop-less) and decided to get cracking on a pair. Have a gander at my design/creation process and, if you love them as much as I do, you can buy them on eBay from the finished picture links.

September Wish List.

September 18, 2012

I’ve seen a few of these posts knocking around online and, despite the fact that I haven’t done one of these since I was 13 and lime/pink was the height of cool on Piczo layouts, I thought I’d indulge myself and have a go. Now, most of this stuff is most definitely to remain a “wish”, given I have just absolutely maxed myself out as a result of my London Fashion Week trip (so worth it!), but you never know what my student loan will bring…
